The Questionnaire
One of my favorite segments on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is his segment called The Colbert Questionnaire. It is both fascinating and intriguing hearing the different answers celebrities give. Since it's such a fun segment of the show, I figured it would be fun to provide my own answers to his questions.
What is the best sandwich: A Monte Cristo sandwich. Especially the one at the Blue Bayou at Disneyland.
What was your first concert: The Pledge of Allegiance Tour in 2001 at the then Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California. I had listened to the rest of the bands that were appearing, I went solely for Rammstein. They were then and still are now one of my favorite bands, and having them be a part of my first concert was quite memorable. A confession: despite being another favorite band of mine now, at the time, I was getting tired and began to doze in my seat during System of a Down. What a tragedy that was...
What is the scariest animal: Spiders. Sneaky little buggers that always pop up when you least want them to.
Apples or oranges: Apples, easy. Unless it's in pulp-free juice form, I want nothing to do with oranges.
Have you ever asked someone for their autograph: No. I have met a few celebrities over the years, and received autographs of a few wrestlers that my uncle asked for on my behalf. But I have never personally asked someone for their autograph.
What do you think happens when we die: We become particles that eventually become part of other lifeforms. But my wish is in the idea of souls being reborn, for people to have a second chance meeting others again from their previous life. I have no greater wish than being able to meet and romance my wife throughout a multitude of lifetimes over thousands of years on this planet.
Favorite action movie: Tron: Legacy. There is no great mix of visual design, an incredible soundtrack, fun characters, and well-done action than this movie. And it's the only entry in the series I actually enjoy.
Window or aisle: I love the view of a window seat. It's worth trying to minimize the amount of times I have to get up from my seat and annoy others.
Favorite smell: My wife's perfume.
Least favorite smell: Electrical burning. Usually means something is going very wrong and/or I'm about to spend a lot of money I did not plan to spend.
Earliest memory: Playing Tetris on a Game Boy while visiting my grandfather in the hospital after he had a heart attack. I recall this is how I learned which directions left and right were while playing.
Cats or dogs: Dogs. The two cats I have to share this house with are not heping their side of this debate...
You only get one song to listen to for the rest of your life: Below the Asteroids, by Jon Hallur. I already have listened to it for hours on end on loop. It will never get old, and it always brings me to great mental space.
What number am I thinking of: 42. Always 42.
Describe the rest of your life in five words: Loving everything with my family.
