Art Commissions of the Evictus Family

Art is an important avenue for exploring my roleplaying characters. It helps me solidify who a character is, as I try to imbue smaller details into their visage. Below are many of the pieces of art that I have commissioned over the years for Aethmal, Seralin, and the rest of the Evictus family.

This piece was created by Linda Tso, depicting Aethmal largely as he appeared in his original EverQuest manifestation. While his background has changed a few times as I write him, his looks remain the same as they did when I first created him in 2001.

Painted by Bella Bergolts, this piece depicts Seralin based on her Baldur's Gate 3 iteration. Like her brother Aethmal, Seralin's look remains the same as when I created her originally back in 2002.

This piece was created by Nozomi Matsuoka, depicting Anaela as she watches over her sleeping twin children, Aethmal and Seralin. It is based on Latona and her Children, Apollo and Diana, a sculpture by William Henry Rinehart. This is the first art commissioned representing the characters in a canonical form separate from any single game setting.

Nozomi Matsuoka painted this piece depicting Aethmal and his young daughter Korwen. It is the second canonical representation of members of the Evictus family, and extends the generations of the Evictus family further.

Jo Cordisco provided the first piece of art for the World of Warcraft iterations of the characters. This piece is of Aethmal and Seralin as they leave Dalaran for the last time. The next time they would see their childhood home would be many years later, after its destruction.

This piece by Nozomi Matsuoka shows how Seralin looked at the end of her journey in Elden Ring. Some of the concepts represented here have since been brought back to the canonical version of the character.
